Seattle, WA – The Seattle Symphony announces its summer lineup at Benaroya Hall with eight newly announced concerts, expanding its 2024/2025 season. From legendary singer-songwriter Mary Chapin Carpenter and Broadway star Cheyenne Jackson to the comic energy of TwoSet Violin and the cinematic spectacle of Barbie The Movie: In Concert, this lineup offers something for everyone. Highlights also include Thorgy Thor’s vibrant fusion of music and fashion, the mesmerizing Koyaanisqatsi performed by the Philip Glass Ensemble, and the beloved worlds of DreamWorks Animation and Stardew Valley brought to life.

Mary Chapin Carpenter / Brandy Clark

Mary Chapin Carpenter
has sold over 16 million records over the course of her career. She has won five GRAMMY Awards (with 18 nominations), two CMA Awards, two ACM Awards and is one of only 15 female members of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. In 2023, Carpenter was bestowed with the Poet’s Award at the ACM Honors, which recognized the outstanding and longstanding musical and lyrical contributions throughout her career. Local musician Brandy Clark is a GRAMMY, CMA and Americana Award-winner, earning a win for Best Americana Performance at the 66th GRAMMY Awards and Song of the Year at the 2024 Americana Honors & Awards with her acclaimed song, “Dear Insecurity,” featuring 11-time GRAMMY-winner Brandi Carlile. Clark also composed the music for the hit musical comedy Shucked alongside longtime collaborator Shane McAnally. Shucked also won in the Outstanding Music category at the 67th Drama Desk Awards and was nominated for Best Original Score at the 76th Tony Awards; Shucked received nine Tony nominations overall last year.

After cutting his teeth as a young actor in Seattle, this Emmy and GRAMMY-nominated luminary brings his infectious charm and powerhouse vocals to the iconic Benaroya Hall stage with Signs of Life, a musical meditation on art, love, fatherhood and the cosmic twists that have shaped his remarkable path. In Signs of Life, Cheyenne invites audiences on a deeply personal and uproariously funny exploration of the universe’s subtle cues with music ranging from Sam Cooke and Elvis Presley to Lady Gaga and Chappell Roan to Cheyenne’s own song “Ok,” about his father’s unconditional love for his gay son. is a documentary without dialogue that examines the contrasts between our technologically advanced urban life and vast natural landscapes. It’s a musical journey from your first day in the valley all the way to your arrival at the summit with the brand new Stardew Valley concert Symphony of Seasons! Curated by ConcernedApe, Symphony of Seasons features a 35-piece local orchestra performing the most memorable music from the game, and a screen above the stage featuring projections of gameplay footage plus original content created exclusively for this tour. Concertgoers can look forward to hearing the game's most cherished songs as they watch their farm grow throughout the seasons and explore some of the valley’s most memorable locations, from Pelican Town to the Skull Cavern, Ginger Island to Calico Desert, the Submarine to the Wizard's Tower and much more.
