SEATTLE SYMPHONY TO SUSPEND CONCERT PRODUCTION THROUGH DECEMBER 14, 2020

SEATTLE SYMPHONY LIVE TO OFFER ADDITIONAL ON-DEMAND CONTENT WHILE LIVESTREAM BROADCASTS ARE ON HOLD

Seattle, WA — The Seattle Symphony is committed to prioritizing the health and safety of everyone at Benaroya Hall and its social responsibility to the public’s health. The Symphony is monitoring the global situation with regard to the pandemic and receiving updates from King County Health, Center for Disease Control and the City of Seattle. Additionally, the Symphony continues to maintain a strict and rigorous set of safety protocols for all essential building operations and concert production. 

With respect to the current statewide restrictions set by Governor Inslee, and in solidarity with Seattle community as coronavirus cases dramatically rise, the Seattle Symphony will be suspending all on-site rehearsals and performances for the weeks of November 23, November 30 and December 7. The Symphony is working to reschedule Ivan & Alyosha with the Seattle Symphony (originally set for December 4); Holiday Pops with the Seattle Symphony (previously scheduled for December 11) is canceled. The Seattle Symphony looks forward to welcoming all affected guest artists to the stage again as soon as circumstances allow. The status of concert broadcasts during the affected period is as follows:

November 19: Sorey & Beethoven
December 4:  Tiny Clips for Tiny Tots: A Winter Wonderland
Date to be announced:  Ivan & Alyosha with the Seattle Symphony
Canceled: Holiday Pops with the Seattle Symphony
