THE SEATTLE SYMPHONY ANNOUNCES A NEW MUSICIAN JOINING IN ITS 2025/2026 SEASON
Seattle, WA – The Seattle Symphony is excited to welcome violinist Aaron Li, who will join the orchestra as Second Violin at the start of the 2025/2026 season.

AARON LI SECOND | VIOLIN
Aaron You-Xin Li, born in Tainan, Taiwan, will join the Seattle Symphony as a member of the Second Violin section in the 2025/2026 season. Known professionally as Aaron Li, he performed as a First Violin section player with the Kansas City Symphony during the 2024/2025 season and was a violin Fellow with the New World Symphony, where he served as Concertmaster under Michael Tilson Thomas and as Principal Second Violin under Stéphane Denève.
Li earned his master’s degree from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, studying with Grigory Kalinovsky, and his bachelor’s degree from the Taipei National University of the Arts, where his teachers included I-Ching Li, Cheng-Tu Su, Tao-Chang Yu, Min-Yen Chien and Hsien-Ta Su.
An avid chamber musician and ensemble player, Li has participated in numerous prestigious music festivals. He has served as Concertmaster and Associate Concertmaster at the Spoleto Festival USA, was a recipient of the Keston Max Exchange Program, in which he performed with the world-renowned London Symphony Orchestra, and was selected for the String Quartet Seminar at Music Academy of the West. His festival appearances include the Sarasota Music Festival, Dragonfly International Music Festival, Casalmaggiore Music Festival, Walnut Hill Music Festival and the NTSO Youth Summer Music Festival.

Benaroya Hall, the home of the Seattle Symphony, is located in downtown Seattle. Opened in 1998, Benaroya Hall is the most-visited performing arts venue in Seattle. It has received numerous awards, including a 2001 American Institute of Architects (AIA) National Honor Award for outstanding architecture.
