Seattle, WA – Tickets for the Seattle Symphony’s 2025/2026 season, the first under the leadership of Xian Zhang as Music Director, go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, July 8, at 1 p.m. PT. Subscription packages, which offer savings over single ticket prices as well as ticket exchange benefits, are still available.
Since the season was announced this past March, the Seattle Symphony has added 13 additional performances to its lineup — including Flow in Concert with the Seattle Symphony (September 10), Andrew Bird with the Seattle Symphony performing The Mysterious Production of Eggs (September 25), Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton with the Seattle Symphony (September 27 & 28), Coraline in Concert with the Seattle Symphony (October 30 & 31), The Decemberists with the Seattle Symphony (November 1), Ben Folds with the Seattle Symphony (December 4), Disney’s The Muppet Christmas Carol in Concert Live to Film with the Seattle Symphony (December 5–7), An Evening with Renée Elise Goldsberry and the Seattle Symphony (December 10), Morgan Freeman’s Symphonic Blues Experience in Concert with the Seattle Symphony with Freeman himself coming to Benaroya Hall to narrate (January 2), Indiana Jones and The Raiders of the Lost Ark ™ Live in Concert with the Seattle Symphony (June 26–28) and How To Train Your Dragon in Concert with the Seattle Symphony (July 10–12). Performances presented by the Seattle Symphony but performed without the orchestra include Lea Salonga: Stage, Screen & Everything In Between (October 8) and Patti Lupone: Matters of the Heart (February 27).
The upcoming season ushers in a new chapter for the Symphony, one that effortlessly blends core repertoire and contemporary compositions, superstar soloists and emerging talent and cross-cultural connections. Xian Zhang will conduct 10 programs featuring canonical works by Mozart, Mahler, Gershwin and Rachmaninov, contemporary compositions by Michael Abels, Melissa Douglas, Steven Mackey, Nokuthula Ngwenyama, Qigang Chen and Jessie Montgomery, and collaborations with Daniil Trifonov, Hélène Grimaud, Jan Vogler, Alexander Malofeev and others.
Audiences can also experience the brilliance of musical icons The Kanneh-Masons, Yulianna Avdeeva, Simone Lamsma, Peking Opera star Meng Meng, Hélène Grimaud, the Sphinx Soloists and many more performing with the Seattle Symphony, as well as recitals from Lang Lang, Seong-Jin Cho, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Conrad Tao and Nicola Benedetti. Adding to the excitement, several Seattle Symphony musicians will shine in solo performances: Concertmaster Noah Geller, Principal Trumpet David Gordon, Principal Oboe Mary Lynch VanderKolk, Principal Flute Demarre McGill, Principal Clarinet Benjamin Lulich, English Horn Stefan Farkas and Associate Conductor Sunny Xia.
